Story
I used to be a girl who did not achieve her goals,
but now that has changed. February 4, 2002, I started taking GED
classes at DeNeuville Learning Center. I attended four days a
week for two hours at night.
At first I was nervous, but once I met the Sisters and my teachers,
all my worries were gone. I had the help of excellent teachers
and the staff was great. It was the answer to all my prayers.
Not only have I gained mentally, but I've made new friends along
with important people willing to help me. I've successfully taken
my GED and passed. I am now studying for my ACT test and filing
out financial aid forms for college. I have accomplished a lot
with the help of DeNeuville Learning Center, and I'm very thankful
I was lucky enough to hear about DeNeuville.

Hello, my name is April. I am twenty years old,
and I'm a GED graduate from DeNeuville Learning Center. I heard
of DeNeuville in December of 2001 and I thought a lot about it.
I was really nervous, but I decided to give it a shot. So, in
January of 2002, I entered the GED program at DeNeuville Learning
Center.
My first experience was meeting Sr. Lakshmie; she welcomed me
into the school and I wasn't as nervous after that. I have found
all my teachers to have been very patient and loving. Our classes
were difficult at times, but I hung in there and gave it all I
had. I always felt a sense of peace here and everyone always smiles.
My baby sister died in April of 2002, and I don't think I would
have done so well without the love and help of all the Sisters
and my teachers.
I have not decided where I will go from here. It was a long year
for me, but I knwo that God and special people brought me here.
I also know God, my family, and special people will help me and
encourage me in my next step.
